Recording isn't guiding
A living resume that updates itself is only half the product. The other half is using that same data to actively point you toward what to do next — which is what "career guidance automation" actually means: guidance that's generated from your real activity, not a generic checklist.
Where guidance comes from
- •Today's dashboard — a career-path checklist and a daily plan you can check off as you go.
- •The resume's skill-level breakdown — see Dynamic Resume — shows exactly which of the 5 evidence tiers is weakest for a given skill, so guidance is specific: not "improve your profile," but "your Attendance tier is your weakest, here's what would close the gap."
Guidance follows your target role
Setting a target role re-ranks the resume around that specific goal — generateResume() filters and sorts activity by relevance to whichever role is selected, so the same activity record can read very differently depending on what you're aiming at.
Today's dashboard and Explore are not personalized by target role yet — Today's career-path steps and daily plan are the same generic starter content for every account, and Explore's match notes are static seed text, not computed from your profile. Only the resume actually re-ranks itself around your target role right now. Making Today and Explore genuinely target-role-aware is a planned next step, not shipped functionality.
