Roles
Student
Anyone building or growing a resume, at any age or stage.
Student is the broadest role on HUBCV — a K-12 student planning ahead, a college student enrolling in courses, or an adult learner starting an entirely new chapter. It's not defined by age or enrollment status; it's defined by having (or building) a resume that's still growing.
What a student does
- •Enrolls in Courses, RSVPs to Events, joins Projects, applies to Jobs — see Posts.
- •Gets credited automatically — graded coursework and assigned positions turn into resume entries without any manual data entry.
- •Sets a target role and gets guidance shaped around it — see Career Guidance.
Where a student shows up
In School and College Profiles as an enrolled member; in Business Profiles when applying to or interning at a company. A Student account isn't locked to one Profile — the same person can be a student in a College Hub and, separately, hold a role in a Business Hub they've joined.
Student, Faculty, Employee, Recruiter, and Administration are how these docs describe how someone uses HUBCV — they aren't a five-value permission system in the code. The one enforced role field is Hub membership, with exactly three values: owner, admin, or member. "Student" itself does show up as a literal roster label on a course (alongside "Professor" and "TA"), but it isn't a stored account type.
