Third Party Apps

Connecting HUBCV to platforms you already use, so the dynamic resume gets better without manual re-entry.

This page describes a stated goal, not shipped functionality.

The goal

A resume gets better the less someone has to manually maintain it. Today, HUBCV credits skills from activity that happens inside the platform — graded coursework, an assigned position on an event, project, or job — and from documents someone uploads by hand (see Onboarding in Getting Started). Third-party app integration is the next step: pulling qualification and skill data directly from platforms schools and businesses already run day to day.

How it would work

Where a platform has an MCP server (see MCP), HUBCV would connect through it. Where one doesn't exist yet, a direct API integration serves the same purpose. Either way, external data gets mapped into the same shape HUBCV's own activity records already use — skills[] tags and a relevance score — so the resume-generation engine itself doesn't need to change to support a new source. A Hub admin (Faculty, Administration, or a Recruiter, depending on the Hub) reviews and approves the mapped data before it counts as verified.

Where this starts

  • Task Management — for Business Hubs, pulling completed work from the tool a company already tracks tasks in.
  • Learning Management — for School and College Hubs, pulling grades and qualifications from the LMS a school already runs.
